Social Secretary

I was born in Bristol, South West England where
I went to school and at 18 trained to become a registered nurse. I
spent several years specialising in intensive care nursing before moving
to London where I studied for a Diploma in Health Visiting. It was
whilst working in London that I met my German husband Bernd, and eventually
moved to Germany in 1990 to work as a Health Visitor for British Forces
families. After having my daughter Isabella, I spent several years
at home enjoying being a mum and learning to integrate into the German
community. I now teach English to children, which is enjoyable and
challenging. My hobbies are Water Aerobics, Pilates, painting,
shopping and socialising! I really enjoy being a member of the BWC
and I am looking forward to my new role as Social Secretary and to
organising events that hopefully will suit everyone.
