COFFEE MORNING AT CAFÉ AROMA 2025

COFFEE MORNING AT CAFÉ AROMA 2025

COFFEE MORNING AT CAFÉ AROMA, Dorfstrasse, Meerbusch Büderich

On a sunny Tuesday morning, fifteen eager and hungry ladies from the West Area (WEST) group met to enjoy a delicious breakfast/brunch at this popular café.  How wonderful it was for me to be back amongst the lush greenery in Meerbusch after six months away, catching up with the family and close friends.  I was therefore delighted to find out that my local group were meeting up during my stay and thrilled to see so many familiar faces at our large table.

Café Aroma is a relaxed, comfortable and well-established café in Büderich for casual dining, with additional outside seating. They offer a wide range of coffees, teas and other drinks, together with a vast choice of breakfast specialities and a lunch time menu. For those with a sweeter tooth, there is a large selection of cakes and pastries too!  Our group were seated in an adjacent room, more recently acquired by the café.  This had the feeling of a private dining room, delightfully decorated and was soon filled with much loud chatter and laughter.

Once coffees and teas had arrived, we perused the menu and were delighted with our choices, which included various egg-based dishes as well as a cheese platter. The staff were most attentive to our individual requirements, very friendly and efficient. I must mention the delicious ‘Heiße OMI’s’ tea which a friend introduced me to a while ago.  This fun sounding name with its play on the letters is a delightful concoction of fresh orange juice, mint and ginger…..simply lovely and I highly recommend it!

The time went far too quickly and we were still busy playing ‘musical chairs’ (minus the music), as we tried to chat to those friends on other parts of the vast table, unaware that the best part of three hours had passed.  It was especially enjoyable for me to be able to catch up on all the news and it felt like I had never been away.

Thanks to Vivienne, as always, for organising this and all the other coffee morning venues in our area. We certainly have a very lively and active group and warmly welcome anyone from the Club who wishes to come along and join us.  We look forward to seeing you soon.
